One of the oldest fishing competitions is underway right now in the waters off Cuba. CCTV America’s Michael Voss filed this report from Havana.
Highlights:
- The tournament was first held in 1950 and it was famous American author Ernest Hemingway who won it that year.
- This is the 65th Hemingway Fishing Tournament. It was regularly cancelled during the Cold War, for distractions like the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis.
