A blast ripped through an apartment building in northeast China’s Liaoning Province at around 6 a.m. on Sunday local time, killing two and injuring 13 people, according to the newspaper Jinghua Shibao.

The blast, allegedly caused by an explosion of liquefied petroleum gas, tore down part of the three-story building’s wall in Huludao City in Liaoning. The building housed six families. A rescue operation is underway.
