Brazil and the US consider visa waiver program

Global Business

Despite the numerous concerns over their economy and the future, Brazilians continue to travel. The U.S. is one of the top destinations for Brazilian tourists but the numbers would be greater if the visa process wasn’t so complicated. It’s just as tough for Americans going to Brazil. More details:

  • U.S. President Barack Obama and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff are expected to discuss the easing of visa requirements on both sides when they meet in Washington at the end of the month. A visa waiver program could allow Brazilians to travel to the U.S., under certain conditions, with no visa at all. Americans traveling to Brazil would be allowed to do the same.
