The Heat discusses Eastern Ukraine

The Heat

For the last four months a fragile truce has been in place between Ukraine forces and pro-Russian separatists fighting for independence in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Eastern Ukraine. The so-called Minsk peace agreements went into effect last February. Since then, there has been sporadic fighting. But now, the situation is threatening to spill out of control again. The Heat begin with a report from CCTV’s John Gilmore.

  • From New York is Ivanna Bilych. She is a Ukrainian activist and attorney.
  • Alexander Nekrassov,  former adviser to the Kremlin.
  • And  Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer,  a Senior Fellow with the London Center for Policy Research. And, joining us from Toronto is Eric Margolis. He is an internationally syndicated columnist and has reported on several wars.
