One of China’s richest men traveled to the U.S. with a focus on small businesses.

Jack Ma, founder and Executive Chairman of the Alibaba Group, addressed executives and small business owners at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago on Wednesday, following his tour in Manhattan, to discuss global strategy.

One of China's richest men ventured to America's Heartland with a focus on small businesses. CCTV America's Roza Kazan filed this report from Chicago.

Ma gave a speech at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City on Tuesday. He then traveled to Chicago the next day to meet with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and attended a business forum hosted by American Express CEO and Chairman Ken Chenault.

At the forum, Ma described Alibaba as an “open area” for small online businesses and he promised to turn his Chinese e-commerce firm into a new platform to help small businesses go global.
