“Well it actually happened organically and a little bit opportunistically. I just started looking around at the companies that were trying to dress this next generation of professional women, and they were featuring us in their ad campaigns and portraying us in way that felt like a caricature of what it meant to be a working women,” Trump said.

“You know women in a pantsuit with a buttoned up white shirt, and blown up in their ad campaigns to be the size of the buildings, while straddling Park Avenue, and holding a briefcase.”

“I would look at these campaigns and say, but women don’t dress like that, they don’t think of themselves in that way,” Trump added.

“It made me realize that there was just this whole opportunity to speak to this next generation of women who wants to be polished and appropriately sexy, professional, and feminine, in the way she dresses, but also have the versatility to be able to wear an outfit in the office and on a date with her husband,” Trump said. “So it just was a white space that no body was addressing, and I’ve been very fortunate the company has grown so quickly across all my categories, and it’s been a great ride.”
