- Over the next year, Bogota will test the electric bus to ensure it is a viable alternative, as Bogota’s TransMilenio Rapid Transit system replaces their old fleet.
- TransMilenio has been widely praised around the world for its green efforts. It is credited for reducing carbon emission by 350,000 tonnes annually, and it is the first major transport system in the world to earn Kyoto carbon credits.
