The Heat on hate groups in the United States

The Heat

U.S. President Barack Obama reacts to the killing of nine unarmed African Americans. Does the shooting allegedly by a self-proclaimed white supremacist reflect the rise of hate groups in America?

President Barack Obama delivered the eulogy on Friday for the Rev. Clementa Pinckney one of nine people killed in last week’s shootings at an historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina. The emotional service followed a week of shock and reflection for a country that remains in conflict over its troubled racial past. At a time when the focus has largely been on what the U-S calls global Islamic terrorism, the question remains does the United States face as difficult a challenge closer to home?

CCTV’s Jim Spellman provided an update.
