Severe weather, lack of electricity slows down Karachi’s economy

In eastern Pakistan, there are reports of dozens more heat stroke deaths in Karachi.  

This puts the death toll for Pakistan’s heatwave to nearly 1,300. Business mainly remained slow in the city due to lack of electricity, almost causing economic activity to a halt.
