Mexican drug lord, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, used a tunnel to escape from a maximum-security prison in Mexico. The tunnel spans a distance of about one and a half kilometers. It has an air conditioning system, electric lighting and a motorbike. The underground escape route ends underneath a house, located less than a kilometer from a military base. Prison employees, including the warden, are being questioned. Law enforcement officials want to know who gave Guzman the prison’s blueprint. CCTV’s Franc Contreras filed this report from Mexico City.
