Hundreds build houses for the homeless in Cape Town

Saturday marks International Nelson Mandela Day. That’s a UN-sponsored commemoration of the late South African president. It’s a day when people around the world are encouraged to follow Mandela’s example and perform individual acts to help others. In Cape Town, hundreds of people came together to build houses for the homeless. The Chinese community there donated supplies and food as part of the effort to carry Mandela’s legacy forward. CCTV’s Rene Del Carme filed this report from Pelican Park.
