Syrians face starvation due to UN funding crisis

Refugee and Migrant Crisis

More than two million Syrian refugees depend on the UN Council for food. The agency, lacking donor funding, has been forced to make drastic cuts to the amount of aid it can provide.
CCTV’s Stephanie Freid filed this report in Amman, Jordan.

More details:

  • Donors have dropped support for Syrian refugee food aid forcing the World Food Program to cut rations to the people who need them the most.
  • Somes Syrian families are pulling children out of school so they can work to help the family.
