Chinese group buys Spanish airport for $11,000

Global Business

It’s not every day an airport goes up for sale, but that’s exactly what recently happened in Spain. What makes it even more unusual is a Chinese investment group wants to buy the abandoned airport for just $11,000. The Ciudad Real airport was built six years ago but closed in 2012. Although the owners of the airport stand to lose almost all their money, the town itself has high hopes. CCTV’s Dan Williams filed this report.
