Criminal resolution for MH17 crash families struck down

World Today

A major United Nations attempt to seek justice for the families of those who died in last year’s Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crash was struck down Wednesday.
The UN Security Council failed to pass a resolution proposing a criminal tribunal to prosecute those responsible for the crash, after Russia vetoed the move. A resolution needs nine votes for passage and no vetoes by Russia, the United States, China, Britain or France.
CCTV’s Liling Tan filed this report from the United Nations headquarters in New York.
