Few animal deaths have caused such international outrage on social media. The shooting in Zimbabwe, of a lion called Cecil for sport, has put the spotlight on a very lucrative business. Its supporters say emotion is getting in the way of economic reality in some of the world’s poorest countries. But opponents think it’s time to kill off what they claim is an unethical pastime.
