World Today

Researchers at Nankai University have recently conducted an experiment to apply brain-waves to driving cars. This is the first of its kind in China.
CCTV’s Feng Yu has filed this report from Bejing.

More Details:

  • The main purpose of the Brain-Machine Interface study is to utilize human’s brain signals to control machines, with the ultimate goal to enable machines to better provide service to people.
  • BMI technology could have a huge impact in the future. For example, brain wave driving may alert a driver about to fall asleep at the wheel, or put the brakes on for a drunken driver. Disabled or elderly drivers may also benefit.
