  • In the early hours of Friday morning as Ali, his four-year-old brother Ahmed and parents slept, suspected Jewish extremists crept up to the window and hurled firebombs into the home, burning Ali alive and seriously injuring the rest of the family. His brother and mother, in critical condition.
  • Palestinians tend to dismiss Israeli government decrees, saying they are defenseless against extremist attacks.
  • Security has been beefed up throughout the West Bank  but the Palestinians living there say they remain vulnerable.
