Afghanistan slow to improve education

Educating Afghanistan’s next generation is still a major hurdle. More children are going to school than a decade ago, but many girls in remote areas are still being denied schooling by Islamic radicals. Even in the big cities, a quality education is becoming difficult. Many well-educated teachers are leaving for better opportunities abroad.
