US compensation claims sit unresolved in Cuba

Cuba and the United States may have restored diplomatic relations but there remains a whole range of unresolved disputes.

One of them involves compensation claims by the families of U.S. citizens who lost their homes and businesses in Cuba after the revolution. CCTV’s Michael Voss meets some of the Cubans who could be affected.


Americans long-held claims of property in Cuba

While many see the re-establishment of diplomatic ties between the United States and Cuba as a fresh start for opportunities in both countries, others, especially American people, see an opportunity to revisit past grievances when trying to recover property and wealth they once thought long gone.
