Lebanon government meets to resolve garbage crisis

It started over heaps of uncollected garbage left to rot during the hot summer months, but the people taking to the streets say it’s about much more than that.

Protesters are standing their ground outside Lebanon’s Parliament Tuesday as cabinet members convened to find a solution to what is being termed “Lebanon’s Garbage Crisis”.

Aiming to avoid more violence on the streets of Beirut, Lebanon’s cabinet met in an emergency session Tuesday to resolve the garbage crisis. CCTV’s Stephanie Freid filed this report from Beirut.
