Single mothers, students or simply men and women who need to make an extra bit of money are connecting with employers online in Colombia.

The search for work is a daily struggle for many around the world. But what if you can only work a couple of hours a week? Your options are even more limited.

  • Jobsforhours.com is a website that connects small and medium sized companies with those who are willing to work on short-term projects.
  • Colombian government officials have long been trying to reform the informality of the jobs sector. Almost half of Colombia’s population works in jobs that don’t provide benefits like insurance and pensions.
  • Jobsforhours.com says since its launch in June, they have 230 companies in Colombia that pay a monthly fee or a one-time fee to view the profiles of more than 14,000 potential workers.
