The tourism business is booming in Barcelona, Spain. But with locals complaining about the influx of foreigners, the local government is rolling up the welcome mat.
Despite Spain’s continuing economic woes, the Barcelona local government in Catalonia is working to limit the amount of tourists coming into the area after locals complained about feeling overrun. Barcelona is a city rich with iconic landmarks, a strong culture and a stunning coastline which attracts some 7.9 million visitors each year.
