An international game and a local Mexican star, Salvador Cabrera is helping transform kids and their neighborhoods through a special athletic program in Mexico.

The after-school program, initiated two years ago, was federally funded for kids in risk zones. In just two years, the program has expanded from two to 22 states encompassing 9,000 students. The program is not just about sports, but also provides therapy and counseling to kids. CCTV’s Martin Markotivs filed this report from Tulancingo, Mexico.
