  • The multi nationals still see South Africa as a good production option. The Volkswagen Group announced that it plans to invest $375m (R4.5bn) to produce two new models at its plant in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape. The investment will take its production from 116 000 vehicles per annul to over 150 000 units by 2017.
