Chinese economy takes center stage at Davos forum

Global Business

The summer edition of the Davos forum starts Wednesday. Political and business leaders from 90 countries will gather in the northeast Chinese city of Dalian for three days to focus on economic growth.

CCTV’s Yang Chengxi filed this report.

More details:

  • This year’s running theme is being called Charting a New Course for Growth. In the face of difficult business prospects across global economies, corporate executives attending the forum are looking forward to discussing ways that they can begin finding new growth points. Many believe that the path will be driven by innovation.
  • What’s also attracting discussion this year is not only innovations across big firms, but also the wave of new technology start-ups, which China’s premier Li Keqiang famously encouraged this year.
