Exploring Qomolangma, the world’s highest mountain

In Tibetan Qomolangma means “the third goddess.” The English-speaking world knows it as Mount Everest. It’s also be characterized as the “world’s third pole.” And it has also been called the test paper for the global environment, because of its critical role in climate-change research.

A team of scientists from five countries is taking samples of its glacier. CCTV’s Lin Nan reports.
