Chinese President Xi Jinping’s four-day visit to the US next week will begin in the city of Seattle.

Located in the northwestern state of Washington, Seattle is a commercial and tech hub, and a major port city for trans-Pacific and Asian trade. It’s also the state’s largest city, with around 3.6 million people living in the metropolitan area. Seattle is the headquarters of many major international companies, including Boeing, Amazon, and Starbucks. Seattle Mayor Ed Murray told CCTV that the city’s strong economic ties with China go back decades.
