Greece goes back to the polls again in heated race

Greek citizens will once again return to the polls, just nine months after the current government was voted into power.

Former Prime Minster Alexis Tsipras resigned and called for a snap election last month due to sharp divisions forming within his own party. Opinion polls show the two main parties, the leftist Syriza party and the conservative New Democracy party are fed up.

Some experts believe neither party can secure the nearly 38 percent vote share it takes to get a majority win, resulting in a coalition government.

CCTV’s Filio Kontrafouri filed this report from Athens.
