President Xi is slated for several events at the U.N., including a Global Leaders’ meeting on gender equality before his speech on Monday to the General Assembly.

He’ll be staying at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria hotel, but at the bottom of Manhattan in Chinatown, Chinese-Americans have been reflecting on just what his visit means.
