Before traveling to New York City, Presidents Xi and Obama exchanged words of friendship and cooperation during a state dinner.

Pleasantries aside, the leaders also took concrete steps on several key issues. Both countries have pledged to curb cyberattacks, and hailed progress on climate change.
And, President Xi announced a new commitment to curb greenhouse gas emissions by major industries.

With a wide array of promises in place from both China and the U.S., what does all of this mean for the global economy?
