The race is on to see who will be the next president of the United States. Fifteen republicans are currently vying for their party’s nomination for President.

Two have recently dropped out. The Democratic field includes former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Once expected to easily win the nomination, a combination of missteps and a surprisingly strong challenges from self-proclaimed socialist and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders has left her path to the nomination less certain.

CCTV’s Jim Spellman provided an update on the presidential nomination race.

  • Chief United States correspondent for the French newspaper Le Figaro, Laure Mandeville.
  • Lynn Sweet is the Washington Bureau Chief for the Chicago Sun Times and a columnist for The Hill – a weekly newspaper that covers the   U.S. Congress
