How one town rose from poverty

Insight

Tremendous changes have taken place over the past few years in a small town named Yina in southwest China’s Guizhou province. A string of effective and targeted measures were taken to lift the people there out of poverty.

CCTV’s Quan Chenchen reports.

With projects like the chicken farm and stone company, per capita income in Yina is more than double of what it was in 2010, and deposits nearly tripled. The electricity network has been upgraded, schools have been built and many have moved from small houses into beautiful cottages.
