Calls for more help for China’s Alzheimer’s patients

There are estimated 10 million people diagnosed with different levels of Alzheimer’s disease in China. The majority of these elderly people need extensive care.

A study shows that 80 percent of these patients are forced to stay at home due to high costs. Many, however, also believe it’s down to a lack of professional care services across the country. CCTV’s Xing Zheming reports.
