Nearly 1,000 Buddhist masters, nuns, practitioners and experts from China and overseas gathered at Lingshan Mountain in the eastern Chinese city of Wuxi for the fourth World Buddhist Forum.

The Forum, which meets every three years, aims to promote international exchange in Buddhist learning and practice. The two-day event brings Buddhists together to take common action to promote peace and harmony. Participants discuss the positive role of Buddhist thought in solving current problems that affect the lives and development of people and society.

CCTV’s Han Bin reports on this key platform for the country’s Buddhist circle in promoting ties and influence with the rest of the world.
