Argentinians head to the ballots to elect a new leader Oct. 25.

There are three leading candidates bidding for the top spot. To win in the first round of the presidential election, the candidate must get at least 45 percent of the votes, or 40 percent and a 10 percent spread over the nearest competitor.

The front runner is Daniel Scioli, President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner’s hand picked successor. While Kirchner can’t run for a third consecutive term, she could legally run again in 2019. Her job-approval rating is nearly 47 percent.

CCTV America’s Joel Richards has more from Buenos Aires, including whether a second round of voting will be expected.
