In Guatemala, an international anti-corruption commission and government prosecutors are still gathering evidence in the case against former Guatemalan president Otto Perez Molina.

He faces charges that include taking bribes in exchange for allowing import companies to evade paying huge amounts of taxes.

Perez is the first standing president in Guatemalan history to resign his post in the wake of a corruption scandal.

CCTV America’s Franc Contreras spoke with the former president inside the detention center where he is being held.
