What doctors are doing for children in the US who don’t have enough food

While about a third of children in the United States are either overweight or obese, one in five do not have enough to eat.

For the first time, every U.S. doctor who treats children is being asked to do something about the lack of food for some children. CCTV America’s Asieh Namdar reports.

Of the families who report not having enough food, three in 10 said they have choose every month between paying for food or medical care. CCTV America spoke to Todd Post, a researcher, writer, and editor with Bread for the World, an organization that fights malnutrition.
