Netanyahu meets with Obama in US to ask for aid

Last time Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in the United States, he mounted a vigorous fight in the U.S. Congress against the U.S. led Iran Nuclear Deal.

This time, he’s here to work with the White House on strengthening Israel’s defense.

  • Discussions with U.S. President Barack Obama went forward on a new 10 year deal for the U.S. to arm Israel.
  • Israel has ordered 50 new American F-35 joint strike fighters, and is expected to ask the White House for $50 billion over 10 years. That’s an increase of $20 billion.
