Chinese President Xi Jinping travels to Vietnam and Singapore with regional cooperation and trade high on the agenda.

They may be neighbors but President Xi Jinping’s recent trip to Vietnam and Singapore was the Chinese president’s first to the two key ASEAN countries since he became China’s top leader and the first by a Chinese head of state to Vietnam in about nine years.

The trips marked a continuation of the Chinese President’s attempt to strengthen economic ties.
