Mourning across France two weeks after deadly Paris attacks

There was a day of mourning in France Friday, two weeks after terror attacks killed 130 in Paris. President Francois Hollande led the sombrer ceremony in Paris.

As the names of the victims were read out, the crowd stood in silence.

Top lawmakers and senior military figures standing alongside emergency service workers as well as families of the victims and survivors of the attacks. In an emotional address the president pledged to destroy the Islamic State group with claimed responsibility for the attacks, and paid tribute to the victims.

But some relatives of the victims did not attend the ceremony. The sister of Francois-Xavier – who was killed here at the Bataclan – called for a boycott on Facebook, criticizing the French government and security services for not doing enough to protect France against the terror threat.
