Venezuelan Elections: Socialist party promises free housing

World Today

Venezuela is holding parliamentary elections this weekend and polls are predicting change.

The governing socialist party could lose control of the National Assembly. That would be the first time since Hugo Chavez became president in 1998.

As one of its campaign promises, the socialist party pledged to accelerate plans to offer free homes to citizens.
