Teams in Paris to address CO2 emissions

Getting from point A to point B in a cleaner and greener way is the focus now at a large climate change conference in Paris. Negotiating teams are locked in crucial talks to address the issue. CCTV's Kate Parkinson reports from Paris.

It’s a critical issue because greenhouse gas emissions are expected to double by the year 2050.

Transportation has the highest growth of CO2 emissions of any industrial sector, which is why industry representatives have put forward a series of initiatives to reduce emissions, including aiming for at least 20% of all vehicles to be electric-powered by 2030.

In China, sales of electric cars nearly tripled in the first half of this year putting China on track to become the world’s largest electric vehicle market.
