Union of Concerned Scientists’ Rachel Cleetus on air pollution in China

Smog is shrouding Beijing and other parts of northern China and is set to gradually disappear this week. According to local forecasts, a slight wind will be moving through the area to help dissipate the haze, but for residents of this pollution-prone area of China, they long for a more lasting solution.

CCTV America’s Asieh Namdar asked Rachel Cleetus, the lead economist and climate policy manager with the Climate and Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists what can be done about the air quality in parts of China.
