Renault’s stock price plunges after investigation

News that fraud investigators had inspected French car maker Renault’s emissions technology caused its share price to plunge by nearly a quarter.

Renault was the only automaker that suffered. Its stock went into meltdown after union officials revealed government inspectors visited three sites as part of an inquiry in the wake of the Volkswagen scandal.
