One more question for Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary on why he invests in women

CCTV America reporter Patrice Howard interviewed Kevin O’Leary, a financial investor and one of the stars of the reality television show “Shark Tank” about how investors can find opportunities in today’s market. She asked him one more question about why women are a good financial investment. Watch his response here.

“I think there’s something to that old saying that says ‘If you want something done, give it to a busy mother’ because most of my CEOs that are women have families… so they are able to manage their time extremely effectively, which ends up being a big attribute in running a small company,” O’Leary said.

O’Leary also discussed why it’s important to buy stocks that pay dividends.

“You look at companies that don’t pay distributions, don’t return capital, how risky they are… I look at that and say to myself why don’t I just avoid that all together? ” O’Leary said. “If it doesn’t pay a dividend — I know that 71 percent of the time all the returns come from dividends — why should I own stock that doesn’t pay a dividend? And I never will.”
