Beijing urges reduction in tension after DPRK missile launch

The U.S., Japan and South Korea are urging the United Nations to take immediate action in response to this weekend’s launch of a missile by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The U.S. government in Washington is calling for “unprecedented measures”, but Beijing says any new resolution should “reduce” tension, not escalate it.
