US prescription drug companies vilified for soaring prices

In the United States, there’s a different kind of problem when it comes to prescription drugs.

Across the board, prices for the same medications are generally much higher in the U.S. than elsewhere. Cheaper drugs known as “generics” are supposed to be a better option for consumers.
