Cigar enthusiasts from around the world have flown to Cuba to attend this week's annual Havana Cigar Festival. Despite economic problems around the world, sales of Cuba's hand rolled cigars continue to grow.

More than 2,000 cigar aficionados from 60 countries are in Havana to sample some of the new releases at the opening gala of the 18th annual Havana Cigar Festival.

Sales of Cuban cigars reached $428 million in 2015, an increase of four percent compared to the previous year, according to Habanos S.A, Cuba’s cigar company.

With improved relations and relaxed trade restrictions, U.S. visitors to Cuba are now allowed to take home a $100-worth of cigars.
