Venezuela opposition group wants Maduro out of office

Venezuela’s opposition group, the Democratic Unity coalition, is launching a campaign to remove President Nicolas Maduro from power.

The country is in the midst of a deep economic crisis, that the opposition said was a result of the government’s failed policies.

CCTV America’s Stephen Gibbs reports from Caracas.

Since January, Venezuela’s National Assembly has been opposition-controlled, following a landslide election victory last year.

But Maduro has largely ignored all the decisions of the assembly saying it was run by a ‘parasitic bourgeoisie.’
