Trump, Clinton solidly on course for party nominations in US presidential race

World Today

The path to becoming the next U.S. president became a bit more clear Tuesday night as big wins across five states may have cemented front-runner status for candidates in each party.

Democrat Hillary Clinton moved closer to becoming the first woman in U.S. history to win a major party nomination by taking at least four states, Republican Donald Trump won at least three states, including Sen. Marco Rubio’s home state of Florida. Rubio dropped out later that night.
